- Ill take it over the Trickle Down Voodoo Economics that the Republicans practiced from 2000 to 2008 any day in the week. Then, give back all the gains in your retirement plan before the losses you incurred at the end of the Bush years and under Obama's losses.

- America is failing because the Republicans are obsessed with who gets or receives credit for helping the country to recover. Seems you just crawled out from what ever rock you were living under for the past 10 years or are incapable of hearing anything truthful about the dumbocrates.

I completely agree with you about the money spent. Catholic schools spend a lot less money per child, yet they have very good results because the teachers are in control of the classrooms, you misbehave and there are consequences; parents cannot come to complain all the time and excuse their children or make the teachers fee like if they will lose their job, if they don't like the way the school is run they can leave the school. Teachers need to have more control of conduct in the classrooms, they should not have to be afraid of everything they say, that way they could spend more time teaching and less time disciplining. Presently, parents and kids are in control of their classroom. Also, proper clothing attire also helps with attitude, I believe the easing in dress codes has also been a key point in the downhill turn in schools.
Maybe if we are taxed less more parents might be able to stay home and help their kids - also there are more parents to help other parents that really have to go to work.
